With the completion of the project's infrastructure work, the hoisting and installation of fans, main transformers, box transformers and other equipment has entered a countdown. The hoisting work of the first wind turbine of the 49.5MW wind power project is in full preparation. On November 15, the three blades of the first wind turbine have been successfully delivered to the project site, which marks the official start of the installation and commissioning of the wind turbine equipment of the Kaifeng project. Today we introduce to you the transportation process of wind turbine blades.
Wind energy is a green energy and a renewable energy. We install huge wind turbines in the wind farm and use the wind to drive the fan blades to rotate, thereby converting wind energy into electrical energy. The current fan models are basically equipped with three fan blades as standard for a fan, each fan blade is about 60-80 meters long and weighs dozens of tons. How to transport these precision equipment, heavy equipment and oversized equipment from the production site to the project construction site, is indeed a big problem.
If you only consider the load, this is not a problem. The on-board capacity of many brands of giant trucks in my country meets the requirements for transporting fans and blades, but it is more difficult to add its length and transportation accuracy. Because most of my country's wind power is built in underdeveloped areas such as mountainous areas and Gobi with sparsely populated or primitive natural conditions. The natural environment of the roads in these places is very harsh. Some roads that have not yet formed will pass through sharp turns, circling mountain bends, tunnels and other places that are extremely inconvenient for large loads such as wind blades to pass through during transportation.
During the transportation of the wind blade, the protection of the wind blade is the first. The production process of the wind blade is very high and sophisticated technology. It is made of many precision induction materials. There are many composite metal sheets on the blades and the joints. There are countless welding points, such as a little bump during transportation, even the size of a soybean, will have a serious impact on the function of the wind blade, or even scrap it. Therefore, the absolute safety of the wind blades must be guaranteed during the transportation process, and it can ensure unimpeded traffic in various road conditions.
In this design structure, the wind blades are fixed on the adapter. The special thing about wind blade trailer is that the adapter is customized for the blade.
This means that it is unlikely to be used for other functions. If you only need to transport wind turbine blades, then it is the wind blade trailer you need.
Although it is usually made of the best materials with sufficient yield strength, its customized blade design may not make it suitable for other types of loads.

Because of the fact that extendable trailers are too long, when it comes to a mountain road, it is hard to steer hence the need for the special blade trailer.
The design is made in such a way that the blade adaptor can lift up and down making it easier for the trailer to steer easily.
It is purely designed to take up wind turbine blade of the wind blade trailer loads. That means it is unlikely that you will use it for other uses. Some people prefer renting it than buying them, especially when there are different types of workloads to be taken care of.
The blade hillside transportation tooling has the characteristics of stable and reliable structure, low overall center of gravity, and convenient operation. The load-bearing trailer adopts a 16-meter low-flat semi-trailer with an overall height of 4400mm after installation, which reduces the height of the overall center of gravity and improves the stability of the vehicle, providing a safety guarantee for the transport blades to adapt to different road conditions.
1) Adopting a 6-cylinder diesel engine and a 40ml plunger pump, it provides sufficient power for the blade tooling to realize rotation, lift and pitch change.
2) The overall rotation of the mountain downshifting tooling adopts 4 hydraulic motors for 360-degree rotation, and the blade pitch adopts 2 hydraulic motors, which not only ensure balance and synchronization, but also strengthen power.
3) The cylinder is on the opposite side of the blade and is installed below. The lifting arm is enlarged, which reduces the actual demand pressure on the hydraulic system.
4) In order to satisfy customers with different sizes of transport blades, two detachable counterweight boxes are installed at the front, which can be deployed according to the situation.
5) The overall structure has relatively reduced requirements for counterweight, reducing the total weight at full load to ensure safety during transportation.
6) It is made of high-strength steel plate, which not only guarantees the overall safety but also controls the overall weight, and improves the economy and convenience in the no-load process.
